Selenotypus sp of Tarantulas are a Tarantula that are found in scrublands in North Australia, and thrive within a dry environment and require coir peat/coco peat with a good amount of substrate as they are experts at digging. They can dig up to 50cm burrows which helps them protect themselves from other predators and from extreme weather conditions. A water dish with some sphagnum moss in the corner of their enclosure, with dry substrate and in a 10x10cm enclosure for the slings will be perfect for your Selenotypus to enjoy their new home.
Unlike the Phlogius Tarantulas, these guys maintain or more medium to lighter brown colouration and will “whistle/hiss” if feeling threatened.
